If you're in the market for a large, SUV-style wagon that can haul seven people and plenty of cargo, the 2019 Ford Flex should be on your investigation list. A proven track record plus reliability makes this a great choice if size really does matter. You have the choice of two engines, and you have three trims available, each with its own set of standard features. Although not as luxurious as some of the high-end, three-row crossovers, the Flex comes through in the areas that count the most.
The base SE trim is no bare-bones vehicle. It comes with an appreciable list of standard features including some advanced high-tech systems. Plenty large on the inside, the SE trim will satisfy you if you're not too interested in paying for additional convenience features.
Standard on the SE trim are:
The SE trim also features an auto-dimming rearview mirror, rear privacy glass, a six-way power driver's seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a six-speaker audio system. Heated side mirrors and rear parking sensors are also standard. All in all, this is a well-rounded trim, and it's also affordable.
If you want a bit more luxury, you can step up to the SEL trim. This version comes with the same powertrain as the base trim but is also available with all-wheel drive. A few of the upgrades this trim offers include:
The SEL trim also comes with satellite radio and smartphone app integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A USB port is included. Interior upgrades include wood-appearance trim and a power-adjustable front-passenger seat. You also get keyless entry and ignition, fog lights, and upgraded brakes.
This top-level trim comes with all of the standard features of the SEL trim and adds on 19-inch wheels, xenon headlights, and LED taillights. A few other standard features you'll be interested in include:
The 202A Option Package includes a power liftgate, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, driver seat memory settings, power-adjustable pedals, and leather upholstery. This package is also available on the SEL trim, but remember that the package is standard on the Limited trim. Several other safety systems are also available as stand-alone options.
