The base S trim comes with a 2.5L engine rated at 168 horsepower. The engine is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. The SE can be purchased with either the 1.5L or 2.0L engine, the latter being a turbocharged power source that makes a total of 245 horsepower. The Titanium trim comes with the choice of the same two engines as the SE. Front-wheel drive is standard across the trim lineup. The 2.5L engine will provide you with the best acceleration, and if you choose the optional all-wheel drive, you'll benefit from the advanced power distribution system.
The S trim, aimed mostly at businesses that desire a fleet of crossovers, is also available for purchase at most dealer lots. You'll enjoy a long list of standard features including air conditioning, cruise control, a height-adjustable driver's seat, and a 4.2-inch screen display. The rearview camera is standard as well. The Sync tech interface with AppLink smartphone integration is also included. The uplevel SE comes with all these features but adds on rear privacy glass, a dual-zone air conditioning system, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat. The steering wheel has mounted audio controls, and the tech package includes satellite radio. If you choose the Titanium trim, you will enjoy leather upholstery, driver seat memory settings, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and an upgraded 10-speaker Sony audio system. Adaptive cruise control is an option on the 2017 Escape Titanium trim.
All 2017 Ford Escape trims are equipped with antilock brakes, stability control, and both front-side and side-curtain airbags. The driver awareness systems including lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and forward collision alert are available as stand-alone options or are included as part of your choice of several package add-ons. For example, the Titanium can be purchased with a Technology package that features such niceties as automatic high-beam control, lane departure warning and intervention, and an automated parallel and perpendicular parking system that comes with both front and side parking sensors.
The 2017 Ford Escape has been given a nice makeover, and even with all the upgrades, it's still a smart choice for you if you need a smaller-sized, more fuel-efficient crossover. Contact our dealership today to inquire about inventory, and schedule a test drive while you're on the phone with us.
